Plunking down $60 for a video game is getting harder and harder to do — even with so many good games coming out.
I used to think $50 was a lot to pay for a game during the PS2/GameCube/Xbox era, but the games not only cost more now, the special editions of games are going through the roof too. Anyone buying the Legendary Halo 3 knows what I’m talking about ($129.99!)
So if your wallet or purse looks like it has been on the Jenny Craig diet, there maybe some hope for you. While surfing the web during work, (for official reasons, of course) I saw a flash video game site that had a bunch of free games to play.
It wasn’t high tech, of course, but they were simple to play and some of them were surprisingly addictive.
I know, it’s not like playing full blown console or PC games, but considering that the cost is free, it looks like a good gaming alternative until you can scratch up some more cash for the next special edition you’ve been eyeballing.

Personally, I like Blox and Punk-O-Matic. But enough fooling around. I think I’d better get back to work…after another round of Squirrel Golf.
