The official announcement from Microsoft is finally here. Set for a near November 22 release, this date applies to 13 regional markets — Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, UK and USA — with more to follow in 2014.
Previous rumors pegged the date for as early as November 8, though Microsoft have opted for a later November release. After a whole load of policy reversals, the Xbox One looks more daring than ever to compete with the PlayStation 4 for the title of best fourth-generation console.
So with Microsoft pinning the release date just a mere week before the PS4, will it be enough to catch the initial spark and lead the Xbox One into an early victory for the next-gen console wars? Stay tuned!
