Major Nelson is reminding everyone that due to the recent Fall update, Xbox Live Silver members won’t get access to free content on the Xbox Live marketplace (like demos) when they are first posted.
All the free content will be available to Gold level members for one week, then Silver members will get the free stuff.
I see both sides. First, Gold members can now breathe in their exclusive membership since they get the free stuff first. But on the otherhand, essentially you have to pay money to get free stuff earlier. But on the other otherhand, an Xbox Live Gold membership is not that expensive.
MajorNelson ends with, "This is not done to annoy our Silver members-limited time exclusive access to content is just one of the many benefits of having a Gold Xbox Live account."
