Around 20% percent of Xbox 360 owners decided to "jump in" via the Xbox 360 Core Pack. A decision seen as unwise by many in the gaming world, because of the likelihood that Microsoft would eventually require games to utilize it anyway.
This week, speculation has been rampant that those theories were finally coming to fruition and Microsoft would now start requiring a Hard Disk Drive for select games. Basically, a lot of people thought they were going to be sat upon and forced to buy a hard drive.
MS has responded to these rumors though and so far the news is good for core package owners. "Every game will work with every Xbox 360 system," said a Microsoft spokesperson.
A different, far more hypothetical Microsoft spokesperson responded, "you mean to tell me people actually bought the retard pack?"
