A World of Warcraft player got more then he bargained for after constantly ganking (habitually killing) another WoW player.
Bronco Carson, a WoW player in Mexico, thought it was really amusing to repeatedly kill one particular online female player. Ganking involves a tactic in which one player makes it a point to immediately kill off a character after it respawns. The tactic Carson used on the woman made it difficult for her to advance in the game.
The woman made threats against Carson online and continued to do so for two weeks. He finally threw down the gauntlet and said if she didn’t like what he was doing, she should send her husband over to see if he was "man enough to just come meet me to settle this." But he made one very big mistake when he said this — he gave her his address.
The woman’s husband and two other men made a visit to Carson and left him with two broken fingers and a fractured wrist for his ganking activities. They also destroyed his computer and entertainment center for good measure. After the incident, the attacked WoW player said, "I knew that I might be messed with in the game but I didn’t really expect her husband to come looking for me. I couldn’t have been more wrong."
Apparently, the woman who sent her husband on his mission of destruction was never told as a child, "…it’s only a game"
