Blizzard Entertainment announced a delay to their upcoming expansion pack to their smash-hit MMORPG World of Warcraft. World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade, originally set for release during the holidays, is now set for release in January 2007. The extra weeks will extend the ongoing closed beta test.
Mike Morhaime, President and Co-Founder of Blizzard Entertainment, disclosed some details regarding the delay, "We appreciate the enthusiasm surrounding World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade, and we,re excited about putting the finishing touches on all of the new content. We feel confident that the extra time spent polishing the game will result in the high-quality experience that our players expect and deserve."
