THQ announced today that Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War: Dark Crusade has officially reached its gold master stage of development, and is now in the process of being manufactured.
"We’re delivering the visceral, cutting-edge RTS experience gamers expect from Relic Entertainment, and they will enjoy Dark Crusade whether they’re fans of the series or are discovering it for the first time," said Relic GM Tarrnie Williams. "By making a hybrid standalone expansion, we’ve given the first time player plenty of single and multiplayer game-play options while providing a great deal of new content to the experienced Dawn of War veteran."
Developed by THQ’s studio Relic Entertainment, Warhammer 40.000: Dawn of War: Dark Crusade is a hybrid expansion to RTS hit Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War, and is scheduled to begin shipping to retailers worldwide on October 9.
