It’s probably just wishful thinking on the part of some, but ever since Mass Effect was released for the Xbox 360, the Sony crowd has been wondering, "Hey, how about us?"
Michael Pachter of Wedbush Morgan Securities thinks that the game will eventually make its way to the PS3 and that ME cannot be an exclusive for the 360 for the long term.
Pachter made his comments to Gametrailers and said, "Trust me, Electronic Arts, when they threw out the 300 million, that is multiplatform [money], that is not 360 only."
So is he saying that it will be going to Sony’s game machine? "It has to, I wouldn’t be shocked if Mass Effect 1 came to PlayStation 3."
At the moment, Mass Effect is still being listed as a 360 exclusive, and while it is Pachter’s belief that ME will be going to the PS3, it will be interesting to see if Microsoft will allow their competition to get a hold of their very successful title.
So will the opportunity to make some extra cash for Microsoft rule over their sense of staying ahead of Sony?
