…and what developers should do about it.
Eddie Inzauto and Jason Fanelli are joined by GamerNode’s Old Skool columnist George Brandes for a discussion about the reasons we play video games, from escapism to competition to simply enjoying a story, and EVERYTHING in between. They also comment on what developers and publishers should be doing to improve their products and the games industry as a whole in light of the things that motivate gamers to play.
Intro theme, “Dungeon” by Koji Kondo for Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda, 1987. Remixed by Brian Schulman and Charles Kantz, 2010. Outro, “To Zanarkanrd” by Nobuo Uematsu for Square’s Final Fantasy X, 2001.
