The GamerNode staff gets together to discuss the games that bore them, why this happens, and what can be done to prevent it.
Eddie, Jason, Mike, Kyle, Anthony, and Ashley do some complaining about the problem of boredom in gaming. They cover the games, genres, and components of games that stand against their overall “fun factor,” as well as the summer doldrums, strategies to avoid losing interest, and a few of the design choices that can prevent that from happening. They also talk about the joys of running on walls, the pleasure of 30 pages of in-game text, and the value of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind technology.
Intro theme: “Dungeon” by Koji Kondo for Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda, 1987. Remixed by Brian Schulman and Charles Kantz, 2010. Outro: MC Chris stand-up.
