A presentation to Vivendi Universal investors has divulged an ambitious new plan for VU’s strong lineup of franchises. Along with pointing out their current successful endeavours–World of Warcraft, Diablo, Warcraft, Starcraft, and Spyro the Dragon–the presentation points out new strategies for the company.
The venerable publishing house is pursuing partnerships with some of the industry’s most respected developers. Included in this list are Starbreeze (Chronicles of Riddick), Day 1 (F.E.A.R.’s console version), Double Fine (Psychonauts), Mad Doc, and Snowblind.
Also revealed was the existence of franchise based on "Battlestar Galactica," with the game set for a 2007 release date for the PC and Xbox 360.
VU is also working on a set of titles for release on Xbox Live, including The Incredible Machine and Red Baron.
