Video game argument ends in Samurai attack

samurai warriorA gamer in Fresno, California decided that an argument with his friend needed to be bumped up to the next level by attacking his buddy with a Samurai sword.

Jim Sanchez was booked into the county jail on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and mayhem, according to the Fresno Bee. The roommate–and human pin cushion–Christopher Torrez [22] incurred a stab wound to his left leg and lacerations to his right hand in the altercation. He was taken to the hospital for treatment. His injuries were described as "not life-threatening."

Sgt. Rudy Tafoya of the Fresno Police department said that the incident started when Sanchez and Torrez got into an argument over a video game. Torrez started to leave the apartment when Sanchez decided to do a little slice and dice on his friend–or should we say, former friend.

No specifics were released on what the argument was about, but we’re pretty sure it wasn’t over the PS3 game, Lair.
