Either Half-Life 3 may finally be on the horizon, or Valve has a torturous sense of humor as an employee of the studio was spotted at a recent game developer event wearing a shirt sporting a logo for the unannounced game.
The photo of the shirt (seen above) was provided via Chandana Ekanayake, art director and executive producer at UberEnt, who noticed the Valve employee and immediately decided to get visual evidence. Luckily, the owner of the apparel obliged.
“All I’m saying is I saw this at a local game developer event worn by a Valve employee,” Ekanayake stated in the Twitter post that accompanied the photo.
Showing his own sense of humor, Ekanayake added the hashtag “#ValveTrolling.” He tried to get more out of the employee, but all of his attempts were to no avail.
“I did try to smother my face in his chest on the HL3 logo,” he later posted on Twitter. “He didn’t even spoon me back. Jerk.”
Fans have been clamoring for any information regarding the existence of either HL3 or Half-Life 2: Episode 3 for quite some time. Half-Life 2 was supposed to have three episodic sequels, but Half-Life 2: Episode 2 was released over four years ago, which leads to a suspicion that Episode 3 may have been skipped in favor of HL3.
When The Cambridge Student recently asked Gabe Newell if releasing HL2 sequels as episodes was a mistake, his response was brief.
“Not yet,” he said.

My question: “Where can I get one?”
Just the thought if Half Life 3 gives me butterflies in my stomach.
