Sony’s UK-developed LittleBigPlanet 2 enters the UK chart at number one, shunting the mighty Call of Duty: Black Ops into second place.
Falling just 95 sales shy of the original LittleBigPlanet, it’s the first time the franchise has managed to take the number-one slot in the UK.
While falling two places to come in at number four, FIFA 11 remains EA Games’ top-selling title. EA’s other big-name game, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit has had a disastrous week dropping four places in the chart to come in at number 10.
Gran Turismo 5 fared slightly better dropping one place to come in at number nine, beating Hot Pursuit for the first time since the new year began.
The now legendary space epic Mass Effect 2 received a new lease of life, with its re-release onto the PS3 propelling it into seventh place.
Kinect Sports once again remains the only Kinect game in the top 10, coming in at number eight.
