Ubisoft hit a double-whammy this past week by snagging the game rights to two hit TV-shows, "Lost" and "Heroes". The "Heroes" game will be a third-person "superhero" action game that’ll feature characters, locations and storylines from the TV-show. It’ll be released to unspecified consoles and PC sometime in late 2008.
Tim Kring, Executive Producer and creator of Heroes, stated, "We’re very excited to be making the ‘Heroes’ video game with Ubisoft. Time and again, Ubisoft has proven they can turn licensed properties into fantastic games."
As for the "Lost" game, it’ll be released in Q1 2008 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. The game will be developed by Ubisoft Montreal. Regarding the plot, the game will have players as passenger of flight 815, which crashes on an island somewhere in the Pacific. Characters and locations from the TV-show will be featured in the game.
