The first quarter financial marks for Ubisoft are in, and revenue is up 63% more than the same period of time last year, according to financial reports filed by the publishing giant. Their intake of 70 million Euros ($89 million) was largely attributed to the game releases of Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter for the Xbox 360 and PC and Heroes of Might and Magic V for the PC.
Even though this may spell good news for Ubisoft, it spells bad news for gamers. According to a portion of the report detailing upcoming releases, Splinter Cell: Double Agent and Dark Messiah of Might & Magic have been delayed to October.
Correction: The console versions of the Resident Evil franchise are not published by Ubisoft, but by Capcom. This report’s assertion that Resident Evil 4 has been delayed was erroneous, and has been removed.
