Ubisoft released its official list of seven Wii titles today and further confirmed its belief that the Wii will be a major success. The seven titles, some already previously announced, will be Far Cry, Blazing Angels, Rayman Raving Rabbids, Red Steel, Monster 4X4 World Circuit, Open Season, and GT Pro Series.
Reggie Fils-Aime, CEO for Nintendo of America said enthusiastically, “We’re thrilled that Ubisoft will be unveiling Wii versions of both exclusive new IP and established franchises. Bursting with creativity, innovation and unadulterated fun, these Ubisoft games embody the qualities that will make Wii a huge hit with gamers new and established, young and old.”
Ubisoft was one of the earliest supporters of Nintendo,s next gen game machine. Laurent Detoc, president of Ubisoft North America, crowed a little bit about their decision to back the Wii early on. “Media and analysts agree that Ubisoft has the greatest potential for reward with the new console’s launch because we believed in it from the beginning. With an impressive lineup of launch games that offer something for everyone, we are in a unique position to benefit from the Wii’s success in appealing to both new and hardcore gamers."
