Tyrant Studios has proclaimed its existence to the world, screaming from the very highest mountaintop – the internet. The new development studio has been shopping its first project around to prospective publishers, and in doing so, has revealed that they have apparently been going from company to company kidnapping individuals to join their underground operation.
In Tyrant’s words, the core team is made up of "top game industry talent," and is headed up by Halo designer Hardy LeBel as the executive producer and lead designer Anders Hejdenberg, of Battlefield 2 fame.
Altogether, the studio’s collective resume includes work on the following games:
Halo, Halo 2, Battlefield 2: Modern Combat, Battlefield 2142, Jade Empire, Dungeon Siege 2, SOCOM 3, SOCOM Fireteam Bravo, Futurama, Interstate ’76, Vigilante 8, Spider-Man, Tony Hawk Pro Skater, Midnight Club 2, Alter Echo, the original PC Crimson Skies, Cel Damage, and Viva Piñata: Party Animals.
Said Hejdenberg of the team:
"It has been fantastic to see the results of bringing together such a passionate, creative, and highly motivated team of this caliber. We’ve managed to create a concept that we believe will become a trendsetter–not only in games, but in mainstream media culture as well."
As for the aforementioned initial project, no details have been revealed as of yet. Bummer.
