Two Worlds II getting 90%+ German review scores, launches website amidst SouthPeak's legal troubles

two worlds 2

SouthPeak Games launched their website for Two Worlds II today and it features a new trailer and some interesting review scores.

We’ve known since E3 that Two Worlds II is an improvement on its almost shameful predecessor (SouthPeak is taking the "Domino’s" marketing approach), but we didn’t have a good idea of just how much until seeing some review scores from German publications on the game’s website. Most scores hover around 90% (there’s ten featured on the site), one of which from Eurogamer.de says, "[Two Worlds II] impressed me deeply."

The verdict in America has yet to drop, but if these numbers are any indication, we may be looking at another title worth buying at the beginning of 2011. This all coming amidst recent news that the SEC has investigated and filed a cease and desist order for SouthPeak, its chairman, and current CEO for false reporting of financial data. Certainly this order won’t have any bearing on the release of Two Worlds II as a finished and at least partially manufactured product, but it may cast a shadow on the future of the franchise.

Look forward to the apparently new and improved Two Worlds II on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 on January 4th, 2011.
