David Jaffe, co- founder of developer Eat Sleep Play, has announced via the U.S. PlayStion Blog that the PlayStation 3 exclusive Twisted Metal will be released in the U.S. on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2012.
Twisted Metal, a reboot of Sony’s car combat franchise of the same name, was originally slated to be released on October 4, 2011 before it was delayed to 2012. David Jaffe said the delay was to ensure that there was enough development time "to ship the best Twisted Metal ever made."
In the same video, Jaffe also gave a sneak-peak on one of the game’s central characters, Dollface, with a short clip of her full story trailer. The complete trailer for Dollface will be revealed later this week.
Twisted Metal will arrive on shelves for the PlayStation 3 on February 14, 2012. Here’s to David Jaffe wishing us a Happy Valentine’s Day in true videogame fashion.
