Rumor has it that a true sequel to the original N64 Perfect Dark will be heading our way next year.
Indian gaming site GameGuru reports that "sources" have revealed that Perfect Dark 2 is "coming along considerably well," and will arrive sometime in 2008.
The game will take place after the events of the N64 title and will feature a "darker" Joanna Dark with a "twisted edge." There will be a morality system, bringing a bit more depth to the franchise, and cutscenes will be eliminated in an attempt to achieve maximum immersion.
What do I think of this rumor? Sounds nice, but I won’t get too excited until the official annoncement. If/when this game is released, I hope it can rekindle the romance many of us felt while playing PD, but lost while playing Perfect Dark Zero.
