Top 10 best selling PC games for November

Chart of Epic Lulz concentration on GNThe NPD Group has been nice enough to release the latest list of the top 10 best selling PC games in the US, for the week ending November 24:

Coming in at number one is the amazing Orange Box, reviewed here, by GamerNode, which is actually quite impressive since NPD Group numbers do not take Steam sales into account. Secondly, and rightly so, is Call of Duty 4, reviewed here, Infinity Ward’s pearl of a shooter; it’s a great addition to the CoD family.

This next one had me stumped. I actually had to Google the title to work out what it was. Mystery Case Files: Ravenhearst, is the latest in a series of point-and-click-adventure-puzzle-solving games by Big Fish Games. Props for being the 3rd highest selling game!

Next are the MMORPGs, Guild Wars and World of Warcraft, capable of eating your soul and in the case of WoW, your wallet. Good to see that Blizzard’s life-destroying beast isn’t the highest selling MMORPG for once, well done ArenaNet.

Next up are the rest of the shooters to make up the top 10, with Crysis and BioShock, both great titles, unique in their own ways. I’d much rather see Unreal Tournament 3 in place of BioShock, but it’s still a bloody good game and there’s always next month.

And last but not least, we have The Sims games. You’ve really gotta hand it to EA and Will Wright, they certainly know how to sell games, even if they are just add-on packs that don’t "add-on" all that much. The mindless Sims faithful must buy, and buy they have.

1. Half Life 2: Episode 2 The Orange Box – Valve/EA
2. Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare – Activision
3. Mystery Case Files: Ravenhearst – Big Fish Games
4. Guild Wars – NCSoft
5. World Of Warcraft – Blizzard
6. Crysis – Crytek/EA
7. Bioshock – 2K Games
8. The Sims 2 Glamour Life Stuff – Electronic Arts
9. The Sims 2 Celebration Stuff – Electronic Arts
10. The Sims 2 Teen Style Stuff – Electronic Arts
