With the release of EA’ Skate demo, many gamers found a skatboarding experience far superior to what they’ve grown accustomed to over the last eight years. Others, I’m sure, still prefer the Tony Hawk formula. Very soon, however, everyone will be able to make a direct comparison between the two.
Activision has announced that a demo for the upcoming Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground will be available on Xbox Live sometime today, likely in an effort to detract from the release of EA’s Skate this week.
The demo will show off some of the new features in Proving Ground, representing the franchise’s newest evolution. Environment modification, video editing, and "nail-the-trick" will all be included, among other things.
I just checked up on the status of the demo, and as of 10:56 EDT, it still hasn’t hit Xbox Live, but will probably be available later on this afternoon.
The final retail version of the game releases on October 10th.
