It’s time to don the cowl and cape, answer the Bat Signal, and save Gotham City once again. The Dark Knight is returning to gamers this week with Batman: Arkham City this Tuesday as he attempts to discover the true reasons behind the cordoning off of an entire section of his city to his most challenging foes for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
Though there is a fair share of titles coming out in the shadow of the Bat, all but one seems to be suitable challenge. That game will be Professor Layton’s latest adventure as the challenging puzzle series arrives on the Nintendo DS with Professor Layton and the Last Specter.
Other games hitting shelves this week include Ubisoft’s attempt to break into the rhythm genre with Rocksmith for the PS3 and Xbox 360 and the latest expansion in The Sims series with The Sims 3: Pets for the Xbox 360, PS3, Nintendo 3DS, and PC.
Fans of the critical hit Deus Ex: Human Revolution from earlier this year will be getting a treat this week when the game’s first DLC, “The Missing Link”, hits on Tuesday for the PS3, PC, and Xbox 360.
