In this week’s new PC game releases: Ubisoft announced two new titles, the video game tie-in to the film TMNT and a submarine simulator game called Silver Hunter: Wolves of the Pacific Surfances. A few RTS games weas released too; a Battle for Middle-earth bundle, Genesis Rising, and Frontline: Fields of Thunder. Lastly, two FPS titles were released; the long in-development S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Oblivion Lost and a bundle of F.E.A.R. with its expansion pack.
Ubisoft announced its video game based on the CGI movie TMNT is now shipping to stores. TMNT: The Video Game features full controllability of the four turtles, unique navigation through each level, power tag-team moves, diverse enemies and bosses, and extra levels for select consoles. The game is available for the Xbox 360, PS2, PSP, PC, GBA, DS GC and Wii and the movie will be in theaters on March 23.
Ubisoft also announced the shipping of its submarine simulation series sequel Silent Hunter: Wolves of the Pacific Surfaces. Developed by Ubisoft Romania, players will be piloting their subs through a 15 map single-player campaign mode and the online adversarial mode. The game is rated T for Teen and has a suggested price of $49.99.
EA announced an epic RTS bundle to end all bundles. The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth Anthology is now heading to stores and contains The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth, The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth II Collector’s Edition and The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth II The Rise of the Witch-King together for a retail price of $39.99. The first game follows the events of the film trilogy but its sequel heads to fight wars in the North, which features never before seen monsters and heroes. The expansion pack features battles through the view of the evil Witch-King of Angmar.
Paradox Interactive announced its WWII RTS, Frontline: Fields of Thunder, is now shipping to stores and online at GamersGate.
Sierra Entertainment announced F.E.A.R.: Gold Edition is now shipping to stores. This package combines F.E.A.R.: Director’s Edition with its expansion pack, F.E.A.R.: Extraction Point. Director’s Edition includes behind-the-scenes footage, a making-of documentary video, and much more.
THQ announced the release of its long in-development FPS/Survival-Horror action game S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl. Developed by GSC Game World, the game takes place after another explosion at the disastrous Chernobyl power plant. The game combines a post-apocalyptic world with RPG-like quests/NPC interaction and stealth gameplay.
DreamCatcher announced the futuristic RTS game Genesis Rising is now shipping to stores. Carrying a $39.99 price, the PC game features a 30 mission single player campaign, online 12-player GameSpy multiplayer support, a co-op mode, and the ability to control over 20 ships and 50 weapons and abilities.
For you baseball fans, Sports Interactive announced its management game, Out of the Park Baseball 2007, is now available.
Atari announced its RPG with developer Monte Cristo Games, Silverfall, is now available in stores. The game features up to three-man parties, a 25-hour main quest, PvP, co-op gameplay, and a game editor to create your own content.
