I’m not going to lie, this month had its share of hefty game releases, but I think our gaming doses will shoot through the roof once October and November rolls around. But I’m getting ahead of myself.
Some notable releases this week include EA Sports’ NBA Live 08, 2K Sports’ NBA 2K8, Nintendo’s sequel to The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker titled The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, Activision’s kiddy-influenced Spider-Man: Friend or Foe, Microsoft’s Project Gotham Racing 4 and a little online FPS titled Enemy Territory: Quake Wars.
I’m going to shed some light on one of the smaller known titles out of the above list and that’s Friend or Foe. My hands-on should be up soon and I suggest for you fans of Marvel Ultimate Alliance to give Friend or Foe a try. There are many similarities between the two games (if you played either game on PC, they were developed by the same company), such as combat, team management and overall presentation. If you like a beat ’em up game using Spider-Man characters, then Friend or Foe is up your alley.
