Alright, I lied; the 2007 gaming spree continues. I think this week may be the beefiest gaming week so far in 2007.
Notable games include Need for Speed ProStreet for just about every existing console, the long-awaited North American release of Super Mario Galaxy for Wii, a decently-looking FPS named BlackSite: Area 51 for PC and Xbox 360, WWE SmackDown! vs. RAW 2008 for a variety of consoles, Assassin’s Creed for PS3 and Xbox 360, Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 for Wii and DS, Kane & Lynch: Dead Men for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3, Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles for Wii and a little PC game called Crysis.
Games that I’m personally interested in are Kane & Lynch, Crysis, BlackSite, SimCity Societies, Assassin’s Creed and, of course, Soldier of Fortune: Payback.
The last we heard from the Soldier of Fortune series was back in 2002; now it’s been 5 years and developer Cauldron HQ stepped in to replace Raven Software as developer of Soldier of Fortune: Payback. I wouldn’t immediately pass off Cauldron because they developed Chaser back in 2003 and the game was pretty decent. Also Payback won’t skimp on the gore, so bring it on!
