It’s always been a common belief that the relationship between consoles and PCs has been that of competitors: the success of one leads to the struggle of the other. Paradox Interactive producer Johan Andersson sheds a light on an another perspective on this relationship.
In an exclusive interview with Eurogamer, Anderson explained how PCs are actually benefiting from the success of consoles by defining each market more clearly.
"It is good for the industry as a whole that more and more people are finding their way to gaming… we’ve seen a massive growth and success in our niched PC segment… the increase in consoles has made the market more segmented, and consequently made it easier for us to reach our target audience."
Although in the large scope of things, big budget titles have begun dying off for the PCs, it is good to know that there is still success going on in the PC world.
