The announcement came today that the new DLC Gearbox software will offer for its populer RPG/FPS hybrid Borderlands will not only raise the level cap past 50, but will be the "largest" DLC for Borderlands.
This news came from the Gearboxity community site saying, "Gearbox Software and 2K Games are excited to announce the largest DLC for Borderlands to date: The Secret Armory of General Knoxx (coming to the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC)! Get ready to face off with brutal, never-before-seen enemies in a huge new environment complete with tons of brand new missions. Don’t worry, you’ll be able to get guns (even more guns) to give you the firepower you’ll need as you discover entirely new weapons and items!"
Gearbox also noted that the DLC would be recommended for players "from around level 34 to level 50", and promises hours of continued gameplay for those players already at 50 due to the raising of the level cap.
No word on who or what General Knoxx is, but the first of the two screenshots seem to imply there may be robots involved(?). No release date has been set for the DLC on either Xbox 360, PS3, or PC.
