The game you found most exciting
Probably Resident Evil 4. I’ve already mentioned how I used to be a huge Resident Evil fan (up until RE5), so it stands to reason that I was insanely excited for what was to be the first true "next-gen" Resident Evil game, following Resident Evil remake and Resident Evil 0 on the GameCube.
On top of that, the game itself is incredibly exciting, especially with the hordes of the newer, faster zombies attacking from every angle, the huge bosses the game masterfully incorporates, the brief cutscenes used to heighten the narrative suspense, and the frequent use of quick-time prompts during high-action sequences.
Unlike with most games, I could hardly contain my excitement with RE4, and was sure to gush about it any chance I got. It’s definitely one of the best games for its time, and is still one of my favorites of all time.
