Starting today, and for a “limited time only,” Telltale Games will be giving away The Walking Dead: Episode 1 – A New Day on iOS.
Simple titled Walking Dead: The Game in Apple’s App Store, the initial download, which includes the first episode of the popular adventure series, will be free. Episodes two through five are available for in-app purchase. Episodes cost $4.99 individually or $14.99 – a $5 savings – for the Multi-Pack (Episodes 2-5 Bundle).
Telltale is also discounting individual episodes of the publisher’s other games to $0.99 until January 1. Titles include Back to the Future, HECTOR, Jurassic Park: The Game, Monkey Island Tales, Puzzle Agent, Puzzle Agent 2, Sam & Max Beyond Time and Space, Sam & Max Episode 1: The Penal Zone, and Wallace & Gromit The Last Resort.
For gamers who have wanted to see how this Game of the Year contender has translated to the mobile space, but have been hesitant to shell out the cash, or for those who haven’t had a chance to try the series at all, this holiday offer is just the ticket to dive in.
UPDATE: GamerNode contacted Telltale Games for a specific end date for this Walking Dead: The Game promotion, but we were given no further details.
