According to an article posted yesterday on Kotaku, at least three retailers in Sweden have begun advertising Project Natal for 1,499 Kronor (or $197 USD). Game and Webhallen are among those mentioned.
In November of last year, British trade site MCV speculated that Project Natal would release in the fall of 2010 for around $80 USD. If this new pricing is correct, early adopters of the motion-based peripheral may be paying more than double of what was first anticipated.
There’s also a good chance that the current listings for Natal are placeholders until a real estimate surfaces. Until then, we will just have to wait and see.
