I just received an email from Midway saying the Xbox 360 version of Stranglehold has gone gold and will hit U.S. stores on September 5th. Unfortunately, the PC and PS3 versions have been slightly delayed; the revised release dates are September 18th for PC and September 25th for PS3.
European folks will get their hands on the game on September 14th for Xbox 360, September 21st for PC and October for PS3.
Stranglehold is the collaboration between action film director John Woo’s Tiger Hill Entertainment and Midway Chicago (Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy, Blitz: The League). Actor Chow Yun-Fat reprises his role as Inspector Tequila from John Woo’s acclaimed 1992 action film, Hard Boiled.
In the meantime, Xbox Live enthusiasts can download a demo and enjoy the over-the-top action that is a John Woo film, but in video game form!
