About the Corporate staff
Eddie Inzauto Executive Editor Equipped with nothing but a light gun, a loaf of bread and a burning passion for gaming, Eddie braves the cruel, cruel world of electronic adversity with a smile on his face and a song in his heart. He is no stranger to peril, however, and has indeed reduced many-a-foe to smoldering heaps of textureless polygons. Likewise, his gentle, soothing voice has been known to lovingly quicken chocobo eggs and spontaneously lull man-eating piranha plants into peaceful slumber. His fingers swift and his mind sharp, no obstacle will stand in his way.
Brendon Lindsey Managing Editor My job here at GN deals with just about everything related to content. I started gaming with Duck Hunt, and I haven't slowed down since. Coincidentally, that's also the first step in my training for the inevitable zombie invasion. As long as there are no laughing zombie dogs, I think I'll be alright.
Ryan Maffit Technical Director Hello my name is Ryan Maffit and I am one of the two lead web developers here at GamerNode. My job is to make sure that the GamerNode website and server are running good, and to help code the GamerNode network website. I am currently in my Senior year of High School and I have had a good amount of experience in the field of web development.
About the Content staff
George Brandes Columnist
Tyler Cameron Columnist Representing neither the West Coast or the East Cost, I represent the hand of this great country, Michigan. Quite possibly the worst state in the US actually, there's not much to do except stay inside and play videogames or ride around in an ATV/snow mobile. I refused this future, friends, and recently graduamacated from college with my heart set on writing in the videogame industry. Enter GamerNode, my new home. I am extremely excited to be here, and even more excited to be doing something professional related to videogames. Huzzah!
Dan Crabtree Columnist Videogames have been a constant passion in my life since first playing Duck Tales for the NES, through the years with the Jurassic Park Arcade Game, to where I am now as a poor college student wishing games didn't cost a Mega-Man arm and an Umbrella zombie leg. I play mostly adventure and shooters, and mostly on the 360, but I also branch out a little with the Wii and DS. My basic mantra in gaming: If it's fun, play it. And if it's not fun, well, I might play it by mistake.
Matthew Erazo Staff Writer Matt's gaming career started innocently when his parents purchased a Commodore 64, thinking it was a learning tool. But that copy of Metal Gear said otherwise, and he discovered the joy of videogames. He took this interest, combined it with his love of writing, and a gaming journalist was born. Matt loves all types of games and will play just about anything, but retro games hold a special place in his gaming heart. Now armed with the awesome power of opinion, he hopes to entertain and enlighten readers all over.
Jason Fanelli Staff Writer To say that Jason Fanelli has played games for a long time is an understatement. He's had a controller in his hand and a smile on his face for 18 years. He's played just about everything, and he will play just about anything. Want to kill some Boomers and Smokers in Left 4 Dead? Jay's your man. Want to go toe-to-toe as Guile and Dhalsim in HD? Bring it. Got a question about gaming? More than likely, Jay has the answer. He hopes you like his stuff, because he'll sure have fun writing it.
Michael Murphy Staff Writer Mike has been playing games since before he can remember. His earliest gaming memories date back more than two decades ago, shooting ducks and hoping on top of goombas on the NES with Duck Hunt and Super Mario Bros. Gaming has been one of Mike's oldest hobbies and biggest passions ever since. He will play nearly any game out there, as he enjoys almost every genre of games that exists. Mike received his B.A. in Journalism from Purchase College in May of 2008. He is now an aspiring young game journalist reporting on the industry that gave birth to his favorite pastime.
Omri Petitte Reporter When not squaring off against the savage hordes of videogame villainy, Omri can be found masquerading as an inanimate object while slavishly attending to his college dues. An avid gamer since the heyday of the NES, Omri is no stranger to exposing his supple gray matter to the unhinged ferocity of the videogame world. His penchant for tirelessly writing about his gaming experiences has rubbed off on his fellow staff members, who have given him wide berth while he continues his one-man crusade to rid the world of scum, villainy, and terrible videogames.
Phil Williams Columnist Hi, I'm Phil. I'm a British gamer who could never afford the latest consoles when I was little. I'm not little any more, so I've been making up for lost time. So far I haven't got a Jaguar, a Neo Geo, 32X, or Virtual Boy. Otherwise, yeah, pretty much! We all know that games are awesome, right? So who cares if it's Sony, Sega, Nintendo, Sinclair, Commodore, Amstrad, or whatever. My big thing is getting games -- all games, any games -- to as many people as possible.
About the Development staff
Josh Hubi Web Developer Hey, I am Josh Hubi and I am one of the oldest developers on the team, employed wise. I primarily deal with the front-end, making the site pretty for your wandering eye. If I do a extra special good job, I am given a doggy treat and a pat on the back. I improve, maintain, and create further on to GamerNode.
About the Community staff
Jim Birmingham Community Manager I love GN! I've been here since its second or third week of going live. Being such a fan, I wanted to help GamerNode prosper and become well known, and what better way to assist GN then see to it that this thriving community is in a good mood? My responsibility here at GN is to ensure that the community is a happy group of people, and to make sure the forums stay clean of spam, bots, negative chi, and so on and so forth. I'm here to solve the problems any user may encounter while interacting on the forums, and to make sure moderators are doing their job. I enjoy being able to interact with the community and talk about my favorite games, movies, etc. I find being a CM very enjoyable and look forward to the future of what GN will accomplish.
About the Support staff
Jeffrey Matulef Contributor
Christos Reid Contributor I'm a London-based freelance videogame journalist, with an obvious interest in videogames and the universes they create. My writing history (and present) includes IGN, Gamers With Jobs and the Financial Times, and I'm about to nab myself a Bachelor's degree in English Literature and Media Writing. I've been playing videogames for as long as I can remember, and out of all those I've played I'd say story-driven games like Final Fantasy VII, Grim Fandango, and the more recent Mass Effect have shaped my enjoyment of the best genre of entertainment we have.
Joe Ryan Contributor Like my GamerNode coworker Mr. Cameron, I hail from the lonely peninsula known as Michigan. I started gaming at the age of 3, playing Super Mario Bros. and impressing my relatives by finding the hidden 1up near the beginning of the first stage (you know the one). Ever since then, I've been a hardcore gamer. Like many people, my love for gaming and writing found a natural home together here. I hope the faithful readers of GamerNode like my writing, because I will sure enjoy writing for them.
Kyle Stallock Contributor I'm Kyle, aka Coyotegrey. Yep, I know. It's a goofy name but it's all deep and stuff so how about you not laugh and let me be happy mmmmmmmk? I'm a dreamer. Like many of you, I've always wanted to work in the videogame industry and have been willing to do just about whatever it takes to make it happen. I believe in this industry.
