THQ is also planning to release original new titles for XBLA such as Screwjumper, Elements of Destruction and Rocket Riot.
Bob Aniello, senior vice president of worldwide marketing for THQ said, "We view Xbox Live Arcade for Xbox 360 as a natural fit for many of our established casual brands. We look forward to rolling out more titles with a slate of games that offer a variety of options via the popular Arcade network."
The emphasis on casual games for XBLA will coincide nicely with Microsoft’s new Xbox 360 Arcade game machine. If this version of the 360, which is aimed squarely (pun intended) at the casual gaming crowd, is successful, it will open up the floodgates as other game developers try to get in on the action.
