Earlier this year during the Game Developers Conference, EA revealed that they were working on three games with the renowned Hollywood director Steven Spielberg. The upcoming GDC in 2008 will mark the day when EA will finally reveal just what kind of game they are working on.
The specific title that will be mentioned is the puzzle game for the Wii, previously known as PQRS, now with the name of Boom Blox.
The game is said to be played similarly as the game Jenga, but since it is on the Wii "It runs on top of a physics program that lets you manipulate blocks with the Wii remote as if it were an extension of your hand," reports MSNBC.
Spielberg believes that Boom Blox will be a game that all the family will be able to enjoy. Will these follow the footsteps of the ever popular Mercury Meltdown?
You can hear more and view the first trailer about this game during GDC 2008 between February 18-22.
The second game that Spielberg is working on with EA is code named LMNO, where we play the role of a secret agent with special powers. You will have the ability to chose the outcome of the story depending on if you chose the "right way" of doing things, or the "wrong way".
It is "a contemporary action-packed adventure that puts you in the leading role of an emotional journey where your actions tell the tale." Nothing that we haven’t really seen before, but with Spielberg’s imagination we can hopefully see something fruitful come out of this. This game will not be shown during GDC 2008.
