Some of the first official invitations to sign up for the beta version of PS3’s "Home" interactive online community have been delivered. Sony sent e-mails to PlayStation Underground members and stipulated what Home was all about and asked for volunteers to participate in the limited beta test. The PlayStation Underground is a program run by Sony which periodically sends out surveys, announcements and special offers to its members.
The Home invitation from Sony stated:

Home is a real-time, 3D networked community that serves as a meeting place for PLAYSTATION
