Sony announced, via their blog, that a standalone 320GB PlayStation 3 would be available for the price of $349.99.
That’s $50 less than the 320GB PlayStation 3 bundle that included the PlayStation Move, PlayStation Eye and Sports Champions, which hit shelves September 19. In unison with that bundle, Sony also released a 160GB standalone system for $299.99 that day.
The post said the units would be shipping today, so presumably they’ll hit shelves sometime this weekend.
"The digital distribution trend is undeniably gaining momentum, and we here at PlayStation are committed to providing you with the hardware you need to support as much downloadable media as possible," Sony said. "For only $50 more, you get twice the storage capacity of the 160GB system."
