Originally planned for an October 17 release, Obsidian Entertainment’s upcoming RPG sequel Neverwinter Nights 2 has slipped to an October 31 release date. Among other news, the pre-download of NWN2’s toolset has been pushed back too–originally it was slated for release yesterday, but now it’s set for release on Friday. To clarify, pre-ordering NWN2 gives you just the toolset, without the game, on Friday. Once the game comes out, you can download the Merchant’s Friend Bonus, which gives you special discounts from merchants in the game itself, as well as a special in-game item from a merchant.
There is also a limited edition of NWN2 that’ll be released on October 31, with the U.S. edition featuring a new feat (Blessing of Waukeen, a +1 bonus to all saving throws), two special items, access to an unique item, an aura for your character, a cloth map, book of art, and two silver antique rings, along with the game and toolset.
