In a move that is surely lining the pockets for Epic Games, (read:money) SEGA announced they are the latest company to license its Unreal Engine 3 for several upcoming games. While the game details haven’t been announced yet, one can speculate that SEGA’s planned Alien video games may get the Unreal Engine 3 treatment.
Simon Jeffery, President and COO of SEGA of America, said, "SEGA is pleased to arm our developers with the sophisticated tools contained in Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 3. Its versatility and power will help SEGA create incredible gaming experiences."
Hopefully it won’t take long for more game details to be announced. Back in January, Square Enix announced they were licensing the Unreal Engine 3 for future projects and only four months later, they announced — The Last Remnant .
Hoorary for anticipation!
