SCi Entertainment struggling, investors fuming

scigamesAll may be not well for SCi Entertainment; according to Times Online, outrage has spread throughout the company’s shareholders today, who have demanded the management to be fired.

Beneath all the management outcries are roots of financial difficulties. For several months, rumors spread that SCi was in talks with several gaming publishers about a possible acquisition. This continued until last week when SCi announced they ended all buyout talks.

Analysts believe SCi will be forced to borrow at least £30 million ($58.76 million) to stay financially stable until the end of this year.

As a result of the financial struggles, SCi was forced to delay several games until later this year, including Tomb Raider: Underworld. In order to recoup some cash, the company will release all the delayed games across several more platforms.
