In the new March issue of EGM, rumor-hunter "Quarterman" found some interesting tidbits on a few rumors that have been floating around the web.
First is that Dead Rising 2 is not being developed by Capcom themselves but an unnamed L.A. based developer (ala Silent Hill 5). Dead Rising is a franchise with many different opportunities for a new developer to tackle, so hopefully we’ll be seeing an even more fun hack-and-slash zombie masacre in the future.
Next from the rumor mill is that God of War fans who don’t own a PSP might have a chance to play the new God of War: Chains of Olympus on their PS2. There is no set release date, but like many other PSP to PS2 ports, don’t expect it to come out anytime soon. At least it is something hopeful to look forward too.
Finally a rumor of a Wii-like motion controller for the PS2 that has risen in the last couple of weeks seems to be getting closer and closer to becoming a reality.
