The guitar controller for Rock Band, Harmonix’ take on Guitar Hero, has now been unveiled. The guitar mimics the classic Stratocaster guitar design with 10 fret buttons in all.
The 5 fret buttons that appear on the bottom of the guitar are supposedly used for the solo sections of certain songs. This definitely adds a unique element that Guitar Hero fans have never seen before.
The guitar also includes a toggle switch that can be used for reverb, flange, distortion, etc. No word on whether this will actually be part of the gameplay.
