MTV Games and EA announced today that Rock Band has gone gold for Xbox 360 and PS3 and is all set for its November 20th release date.
For you folks looking to pick up the PS2 version, you’ll have to wait until December 18th. The standard retail price is $169.99 for the 360 and PS3 bundles, and $159.99 for the PS2 version
At launch, the game itself will only be available either standalone ($59.99) or with a few bundles; plans to release standalone instruments are certainly on the way. The packages are as follows:
1. The Xbox 360 version of the Rock Band Special Edition Bundle will feature a wired drum kit, microphone and Fender Stratocaster guitar controller as well as a USB hub for easy plug-in access for all instruments.
2. The PlayStation 3 system version of the Rock Band Special Edition Bundle will feature a wired drum kit and microphone, as well as a wireless Fender Stratocaster guitar controller, which will be interoperable between the PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3 system.
3. The Rock Band Special Edition Bundle for the PlayStation 2 system will feature a wired drum kit, wired microphone, wireless Fender Stratocaster guitar controller and a USB hub.
In addition, Rock Band will ship in Europe in Q1 2008 for the same platforms.
