MTV Multiplayer released the official release date and pricing for EA’s upcoming Rock Band. The Xbox 360 and PS3 version of the game will launch on November 23rd and will retail for $169.99.
The retail packaging will include the game, one guitar, a mic and a drum kit.
Surprisingly, the PS2 version of Rock Band will launch this year, specifically on December 10th and will retail for $159.99. The PS2 and PS3 guitars will be wireless while the Xbox 360 guitar will be wired. EA will launch a wireless Xbox 360 guitar after the game’s launch but a date wasn’t pinned down.
If you’re a shop-a-holic, you’ll notice that the Xbox 360 and PS3 version will launch on Black Friday, which is the U.S.’ busiest shopping day of the year. I’d wager EA certainly planned this, so prepare for a mad rush once November 23rd rolls around.
