Bat-gamers have known for some time that Robin will be playable in the challenge maps for Arkham City, but it’s just been announced that he will have alternate costumes just like Batman.
The internet caught fire when the Batman DLC costumes were announced. Fans couldn’t wait to play as Batman Beyond, Dark Knight Returns Batman, or even the Animated Series Batman. Now fans will be able to play as Red Robin, Hooded Robin, and the Animated Series Robin.
Unlike Batman, Robin hasn’t had any drastic redesigns throughout the series, so it’s nice to see Rocksteady collect a couple of alternate costumes for the Boy Wonder.
Tim Drake is confirmed to voice the Robin. Does that mean we could see Dick Grayson as Nightwing? It wouldn’t be surprising, since it seems Rocksteady is packing as many DC Comic characters as they can into Arkham Asylum‘s successor.
Along with this news, Bruce Wayne was confirmed to not be playable in the game.
Batman: Arkham City is set for an October 18 release on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. It will be released for the Wii U at a later date.
