Survival horror fans have a little something to be excited about. Capcom will be holding a press event on April 12, where the company is planning to divulge some information about the future of the hit survival-horror franchise.
Really, the event is to discuss the titles that are in the works for 2007, which likely includes the Wii remake, Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, and possibly Resident Evil 5. As of right now, however, RE5 seems tentatively set for release sometime in 2008 — or beyond. If that’s the case, then maybe the much-anticipated sequel will be conspicuously absent from this event.
Capcom exec Christian Svensson hinted that one of the upcoming Resident Evil games will get new details of some sort, and this writer has his money on Umbrella Chronicles being that title.
Hey, at least we’ll be sure to get some good Devil May Cry 4 info out of the deal.
