According to a memo sent out to Sony’s game developer and publishing partners, the PlayStation Store will be making its return this Tuesday, May 24, barring any sudden problems.
The memo, reported to be obtained by Gamasutra, has Sony unveiling plans to do two content pushes per week for the next two weeks in order to catch up on the inability to add content during the PlayStation Network outage.
"We thank you for your patience as we work to resume service of the PlayStation Store," PSN Content Manager Jack Osorno wrote to developer partners.
On the day that the PlayStation Store returns the first push will take place, which will contain content that was originally planned to release on April 26. After that, three more updates will occur on May 27, May 31, and June 3 to get the content on the service fully up to date.
In addition to having the store return, consumers will be glad to know that this brings them one step closer to claiming their "Welcome Back" package. Included in that bundle for PS3 owners with existing PSN accounts will be the option to choose two free games among the list of LittleBigPlanet, Dead Nation, inFAMOUS, Wipeout HD, and Super Stardust HD.
