Reggie Fils-Aime: New Zelda will release "When it's perfect"

Nintendo of America President says the game will release

Zelda fans who have worked themselves into a frenzy over the announcement by Nintendo president Satoru Iwata that the next Legend of Zelda game for Wii would release by the end of 2010 will need to put on the breaks. Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime has now stated that Link’s next adventure on a Nintendo console will "come out when it’s perfect."

"Right now, it’s still in development," said Fils-Aime. "But the key message that Mr. Miyamoto and Mr. Aonuma is telling us is that it really has to be perfect when it launches. That really is what the Zelda fan is expecting."

With Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Metroid: Other M already releasing for the Wii this year, it is no surprise that the company is willing to take its time with the new Zelda title.
