Raptr has created a competition that rewards gamers for using the service while playing Suba Games’ online, free-to-play MMO title Mission Against Terror.
Working in partnership with Suba Games, Raptr has orchestrated a prize system that scales the potential rewards available to the player in correlation to the amount of hours they have been playing.
To enter the competition all players have to do is play the game using the Raptr client to track the amount of time they have been online. To have a chance at winning the grand prize, which is a year’s supply of Twinkies and a $250 Amazon voucher, players will have to log over 20 hours of game time.
For those without the time or inclination there also several smaller prizes up for grabs. Just entering the contest gives you chance to win one of five custom Raptr Snuggies, while playing for an hour automatically gets you 500 of the game’s currency, clerverly titled MAT coins.
Playing for five hours gives you a chance to win one of five "How to Survive the End of the World" books. Getting into the more hardcore end of the spectrum, players logging over 10 hours get a chance to win 100,000 MAT coins.
While someone who has recently spent 20 hours playing Mission Against Terror will most likley need the sugar rush of a Twinkie, whether the prizes on offer are enough to entice such avid, hardcore playing remains to be seen.
